Addis Ababa – Debre Libanos – Blue Nile Gorge – Addis Ababa
Your day begins with a morning pickup from your hotel in Addis Ababa, followed by a scenic drive through the Entoto Mountains and the beautiful highlands of north-central Ethiopia. The first stop is Debre Libanos Monastery, an important spiritual center surrounded by dramatic cliffs and natural beauty. Explore the monastery, visit the nearby museum, and learn about the history and religious traditions of this sacred site. Continue with a short walk to the Portuguese Bridge, where you can enjoy breathtaking views of the Jemma River Gorge and look for endemic bird species and Gelada baboons. The journey continues to the spectacular Blue Nile Gorge, a vast natural wonder carved deep into the Ethiopian highlands. Enjoy panoramic viewpoints, capture stunning photographs, and appreciate the impressive scale of this dramatic landscape. After lunch, return to Addis Ababa and arrive in the late afternoon or early evening, with drop-off at your hotel.
